SUP, MOD HERE. Doing a few things so can't log out right now, rofl.

BASICALLY. You just send an email to the mod email account, note CHARACTER - WEAPON TO MEISTER CHANGE or something similar, and then fill out the meister form. If the changes are accepted, your character will be dropped for one in game day after he is accepted (day of your choice btw) and when he's back, he'll be a meister '3'. He'll keep all of his memories btw if you choose to keep em! ♥

I'm curious as to how much canon a character must have before they would be appable in Soul Campaign.

There's a character I've been looking at who is a fairly minor character that's made only a few brief appearances, but there is a good amount of canon available about her family.

The more I talk to other people about this the more I get confused. So what is a resonance attack?

So far I've got two possibilities. One is that it is the Weapon's ability that is unlocked when they reach maximum resonance. In Dante's case that would be his Devil Trigger. The other one is that it's a completely different attack that is unique to the partnership and is not covered under the Weapon's abilities.

Quick question: if you've done enough AC and apped up to three characters before, if you fail one ac but then pass the next, can you app a new character or do you have to pass two acs again?

The resonance attack is the unique attack to the partnership! It has nothing to do with the abilities you give your Weapon.

Also, resonance attacks will need to be looked over by the mods as well.

You will still need to have two AC in a row completed if you have failed one recently.

If you are looking to apply for another character in the June cycle, you can submit an AC in advance. So you will need to have passed the June (1st - 7th) AC, and also submit the July AC - which basically means that you will need to have the right amount of activity for each character in the game throughout June before the app cycle closes on the 16th of June.

Rufus and the Redheads are having a housing conundrum. We want Rufus and Asch to live together as partners, but Reno kinda needs to be exceedingly close by, and since Luke is broke, he needs to either live with Rufus and Asch or be in a free building as well.

So we're looking for places that have 2 and 1 bedrooms together on the same floor that aren't Casualty. :/ We haven't seen any but we're wondering if we missed something. Can you help us find a solution, please?

We'd suggest any of the following:
1. Get two two-bedroom apartments for rent. (Costs money.)
2. Rent a two or three-bedroom unit in Fatality Condo. (Costs money.)
3. Get a partner unit in Casualty Communal or the Creeping Crypt (both have partner units) and have Reno and Luke get a unit each in the surrounding area.

Option three may be the most viable for you, if you really want the 2 + 1 + 1 combination. Casualty Communal 12OP is free, and the units next to it, M and N, are also available (disregard Sheryl -- she has already dropped).

I've noticed that there is no concrete description of the jail cells anywhere that I was capable of finding. With all the people ending up in jail, might it be good to put it and a description on the locations list? Are they separate from the dungeons under Shibusen?

I'm thinking about apping here in... uh. Several months (eheh... >_> ) but I didn't see any rules regarding AU apps or characters with other games as part of their background. Are they allowed at all?

And if so, what about characters from a memory-loss game (though he will have all his canon memories back before I app him)?

Unfortunately, at this moment, we do not allow applications for characters that retain their backgrounds in other games. As for the AU... What kind of AU is this? If the AU is accepted in canon, then it might be all right. For example, in The World Ends with You, the game has an AU spin-off within the game itself.

Because you only allow one application per person per round, would a person that is challenging an application/having their app challenged be able to put in two applications just in case? I think it's kind of unfair, especially for the person who had not been expecting to originally be challenged and their app is the one that doesn't get through yet still really wanted to join the game.

We do make an offer to the applicant that doesn't get the character to send in another application once the decision's been made. So if you do have two characters in mind for the game (should the first not get in), keep the second one on hand instead of emailing in the second application.

This likely isn't the correct place for it, but why doesn't this game have a proper IC reasoning for the absence of characters when their player goes on a hiatus?

For example, a character who is very social and would never simply drop off for a week or more on his own from the network or missing very important plot events looks very strange gameplay and characterisation-wise.

In other games, there is the option they were "trapped in a forest" or something along those lines. Why is there nothing for Shibusen?

What the character does when the player is on hiatus is up to the player to decide and coordinate. What players commonly do is to canon update or stick their characters in missions during hiatuses, while others arrange for handwaved interactions with their chosen CR before or after their hiatuses.

The mods cannot, in fact, dictate the character's activities while the player is gone, though we can help with settings and plots when requested of us. However, we'll see to adding a section dealing with character activity in the hiatus page in the future to augment this issue.

Hi mods~

A question about Soul Eater universe: does everyone in this world have Meister/Weapon abilities or is it a rare trait? Meaning, do normal citizens also have these abilities?

Oh gosh, sorry for such a late reply to such an easy question! It got buried...

But nope, normal citizens aren't meisters or weapons -- very few of the world are gifted with being these, and majority of them go to Shibusen to study in the academy.

Just to make clear, Shibusen is the only place in the world for people to train these abilities, then? Or are there other places to do so?

Shibusen is the primary one, but it was never stated in canon if there are more. Giriko is a weapon outside of Shibusen and worked for the witches for a time, so it's not an unreasonable assumption that some weapons and meisters work outside of Shibusen's jurisdiction.

Hello. I’m a new person considering applying next time and I had a couple of questions.

I was thinking of Shuurei from Saiunkoku Monogatari, which has 3 versions of canon: light novels, anime, and manga. I know the series mainly through the anime version but is it okay to also use bits from the novels and manga to supplement that? The novels include a few books which go beyond the anime’s end but aren’t licensed in English so my knowledge is limited to what summaries and fan translations I can find. The manga isn’t nearly as far along but includes a few side stories which weren’t in the anime. For example, Shuurei’s mother was an immortal with healing powers that sealed herself inside her sickly young daughter so that she would become healthy and live longer. This is implied in the anime but it’s not confirmed until the later light novels and there’s the additional info that the seal has been breaking, causing Shuurei’s life to run out quickly as a result.

And is it okay to bring her in from an earlier point than Ryuuren (the other Saiunkoku character who’s already in the game)? I was considering when she blacked out after the two of them and a couple of other characters went over a waterfall but Ryuuren went into the game from a somewhat later point.
