PREMISE
Our legend began in Death City, Nevada...

In 2009, Death City, home to the Death Weapon Meister Academy (Shibusen, "Death Military Department," for short), was torn apart by war. Lord Shinigami, the God of Death and headmaster of the school, was killed by the Witch Medusa, leaving a young, inexperienced ruler--his son--responsible for the well-being of the entire world in his stead. In Death City's darkest moment, Death the Kid inadvertantly activated the Demon Tool "BREW" and made a desperate plea:

Rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.

With powers unknown and mysterious to all save the legendary Eibon, creator of "BREW," the Demon Tool summons in strangers from other worlds and effectively traps them--for the "BREW" can only fulfil one wish at a time.

Human, alien, young, old, great, and small, those of us who have been called share only one commonality: the potential to become what Shibusen needs most--heroes with the strength to be "Weapons" or "Meisters." Recognizing this, the Death Weapon Meister Academy takes responsibility for our needs, providing housing, food, and training in our new abilities. It's only fair; after all, this world needs us.

So until this war is over, until all of us can return home, this is our time. This is our era.
