prosecutory: (♖ sticks and stones may break my bones)

Genesis and Edgeworth have endured the inhospitable sun, raging snowstorms and even dark and creepy caves, and today, they face the scourge that is...rain. Okay, it's not really a scourge because the rain itself isn't all that bad, except for the fact that fighting a monster while clutching an umbrella with one hand isn't practical at all. That's what long coats with hoods are for, anyway.

Anyway, the hard part is wading through the flooded areas of Kochi because their opponent can control water, which means any puddle, any part of the water they step into can ultimately be turned into a weapon against them. And of course, their fire-based resonance attack wouldn't do them much good. The plan? Hunt the kishin down and chop it in half. Easier said than done, like most battle strategies.

Thankfully, as long as their resonance was good, Edgeworth had the power to command the kishin to stop drowning and terrorizing people. Unfortunately it could resist Edgeworth's Soul Talk at times and managed to knock him into a puddle or grab his foot with a long arm made of water, and at one point it made a huge waterfall come down right on his head, but finally, thanks to their blazing resonance and one more order for the kishin to freeze, Genesis and Edgeworth dealt the kishin's pink head a lethal blow and sliced it like a tomato. Problem solved!
