With Sasuke's Sharingan, this mission was likely easier than it might have been for another pair. The whisper of souls they can see when his blindfold activates made tracking and locating this kishin easier— but it didn't make the fight that much simpler. Cloud might have been fully equipped for it, but Sasuke was only half his level.

The challenge it presented made the fight drag, at least insofar as Cloud might have been concerned, but Sasuke learned a great deal from connecting with the Three-Star Meister— even without perfect resonation. With their successful defeat of the doppelganger, Sasuke and Cloud returned to Death City. Sasuke boastfully declared he'd catch up to Cloud in no time, this was proof of it, and intended to seek him out again later.
