Neji and Lee set out to defend the clinic during the attack, making sure that those escorting the injured had a clear path to get treatment. But as a Witch descended upon the city and cornered their friends, they swiftly moved to intervene with their Soul Resonance attack.

This allowed Team 7 time to flee and they covered their escape by keeping the Witch busy until Neji's body began to fail him. Amaterasu and Psi came to back them up, and using his inherent speed, Lee pulled Neji away from the fight before he could sustain heavy injury.
