While Kyubey went ahead to scope out San Jose itself on the 1st, Chika didn't arrive until the 2nd due to prior obligations. Still, the moment she arrived was the same moment the fighting began; or at least, the moment it drew close to the Shibusen tents. Kyubey has enough information collected that, when he transforms, he notifies Chika of the apparent changes that have occurred; that the clowns were stronger.

Providing her with her dress and claws to fight, they go in. The cat creature observes as the girl battles much like a still in-training magical girl. The new clowns are definitely no pushovers and there are several close calls especially against the Silver and Red Clowns. Powering through, they manage to break the lines attempting to breach the medical tents and mirrors, and clear the area until reinforcements can arrive.
