By now, Mello and Near have been in enough missions to consider this one nothing out of the ordinary, despite it being a two star mission to eliminate a twisted woman that crawls in and out of mirrors. Regardless of their feelings (or lack thereof) on the matter, however, they remain as focused as ever, or perhaps even more so, given how close they are to reaching their goal of turning Near into a Deathscythe.

The situation in Brunei isn’t chaotic, exactly, but it’s close to it, and being constantly approached by locals in dire need of emergency aid means that they take longer than usual to figure out this kishin egg’s attack pattern. But once they narrow that down, and with Mello’s Soul Precognition added into the mix, they have little trouble anticipating her attacks and finishing her off through both lasers and their resonance attack, killing her off for good and adding a significant number of souls to Near’s tally.
