The Clowns arrived so suddenly that there was no time to prepare. After Neji and Lee rescue Lily from a sticky spot from a marauding Clown, she is escorted to the clinic to join forces once more with her partner, who had for the time worked with co-worker Meisters to secure and clear out the perimeter in the medical facilities. With injuries assured, they would at least need the safe haven for when the Clowns are driven out.

In secure, familiar waters again, the pair tangle with the strange black-blood-borne beasts, namely an odd heterochromic creature with strength of mind and - to Lily - familiar abilities involving energy blasts. Though from a different source, such knowledge is their boon, and through Lily's guidance Lezard's power is directed with mastery. Though the Clown is their toughest foe yet, they overcome the threat and drive it back, holding their position over the district.

Once everything calms again, Lezard sees to treating their mutual injuries, but a curiosity is born- when on earth did the enemy forces learn to copy their abilities...?
