Whereas fog tended to put both Akiha and Sion on edge, something about this mission just felt right to them. Their resonance was the best they'd ever managed, so close to perfect, that Akiha's cockiness was well-deserved.

The horse didn't even stand a chance when it finally appeared. Keeping it's hypnotic aura from affecting them with the strength of their resonance, Akiha allowed it to think it had her lulled as she climbed up onto it's back, slowly draining energy from it with Soul Bite. And then as it started to head toward the water, she brought the staff down to break it's legs. Leaping off and landing on her feet, a single strike of the staff at its head defeated it.

In quite a good mood after the mission, the pair elected to stay in Sweden overnight and head back to Shibusen the next day.
