They depart a few hours after morning training concludes for the day, taking off through the mirror for Hamelin, Germany. Night has fallen, and all they have to do is wait until the time Ghoulia calculated as the prime moment the song should start.

Sure enough, Amaterasu's sensitive hearing soon picks up on the music and many doors opening as children begin to depart. While they manage to get the children herded back into their homes, the lack of children coming to the music summons rats from the sewage system. It's a flash of chainsaw and fangs that begins to cut down the numbers, chasing the rats back into the sewers with help from some feline companions.

Diving down into the darkness of the sewers, Amaterasu and Ghoulia find the rat's nest and three eggs: two massive rats and the piper. The cats can't help, but they can keep rats from invading the homes above while the Meister and Weapon handle the eggs. It's a rough fight, rats with their wicked teeth and the piper trying to evoke Madness, but to no avail as Amaterasu's ability cuts it out. The two rats go down first before the Goddess turns on the Pied Piper, her amber eyes wide in the darkness. There's no where to run and in one slice, the pair have collected a total of three eggs. Hamelin, Germany gets to rest a little easier.
