As Sion's choice of mission this time was a form of self-punishment, Akiha was already angry. Add to that the presence of fluctuating Madness, something the pair hadn't really dealt with since they were captured by the witches, and the Shibusen agents supervising them, the meister was running quite hot by the time she finally laid eyes upon the Grimm.

The good news was her anger made her able to keep the Madness at bay and it lent to her utilizing Soul Menace more effectively. The bad news was that it made her more reckless and she rushed the kishin egg too early, causing her some injury before Sion reigned Akiha's temper back in enough to utilize her special ability to predict enemy movements.

One mild concussion and black eye for the meister and a sore shoulder for the weapon later, they collected the kishin egg's soul and did a sweep of the area before Sion had to guide Akiha back to the mirror.
