Rule number one for entering an ancient Egyptian crypt: Don't disturb the dead.
Rule number two for entering an ancient Egyptian crypt: If the dead are already disturbed, put them back to rest.
Rule number three for entering an ancient Egyptian crypt: Don't join the dead.
Of course, in Ghoulia's case, she was already a zombie. She didn't need to worry about the third rule she'd come up with. She didn't need to worry about the first two, either, to be honest, because the residents of the crypts that were disturbed were the Scarabs. Hungry, hungry Scarabs just waiting to eat anything they came accross. Thankfully, there were three among the Scarabs that stood out, being a little bigger and meaner than the rest: the Kishin Eggs.
The Scarabs were not even close to being as fast or as swift as Amaterasu, and with Ghoulia safely in her Weapon form, they were at no risk of being eaten during the mission... it was just a matter of outrunning the swarm. For every Scarab they cut down, the horde seemed to move a little faster afterward. It could have been that they were less impeded by eachother's running, but Ghoulia quickly realized that they were consuming their fallen allies and getting stronger.
So that just meant that they had to dispose of them all very, very quickly. Good thing she was a chainsaw, because Amaterasu made short work of the first rush of Scarabs with a single fully-charged slash. The wall, unfortunately, earned a fresh coating of icky Scarab goo, but that would wash off. A second slash at the Scarabs disposed of the next wave, and two of the Kishin Eggs at once. Two down, three to go. Fangs bared and expecting a third attack wave... Amaterasu and Ghoulia were disappointed. There wasn't a third wave, because the only remaining Scarab was the third Kishin Egg, and it was busy eating all of its fallen allies. Om nom nom nom, was what it was occupied with, and it didn't even look up at them as they approached.
It didn't even try to run when they cut it down. If anyone thought Gluttony wasn't deadly, they'd just been proven wrong. One swarm of Scarabs down, three more Kishin Egg souls for Ghoulia, and the need for Egypt to hire a janitor for their pyramids later and the mission was done. Easy.
